FREE ADMISSION TO THE FIRE ANT FESTIVAL! 

Held the Fourth weekend of March, Ashburn welcomes the Fire Ant Festival, not the ants themselves. Known for its wacky and off the wall activities, the festival offers family oriented fun for all ages. Activities include the fire ant calling contest, the giant fire ant maze, carnival, arts and crafts, fireworks, bands, photo contest, art contest, health fair, BBQ cookoff, Strawberry cookoff, and much more!  The Carnival for the festival in 2012 has tickets to purchase for arm bands for each day for $12.00 each at the Chamber, Colony Bank, or South Georgia Bank.  Arm Bands purchased at the Carnival will be $15.00 each.

On March 22nd, 2012, The French Market will have the 1st Annual Spring Fling from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.

The dates of the Festival are the evening of March 23rd, and all day on March 24th, 2012.  The evening of Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at 8:00 P.M., Bo Bice, the runner up of American Idol will be in concert at the 17th Annual Fire Ant Festival in Heritage Park, sponsored by the City of Ashburn.  Our theme this " Fire Ant Idol!  There is no charge for the Bo Bice Concert!
