“An eclectic bluesy sound with a soulful Southern twist.”
--Angie Miller, Connect Savannah
We are so excited to welcome to the Fire Ant Festival Main stage, Andy Johnson.
He will be playing for us on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Andy Johnson is a writer, singer, and guitarist from Upson County, Georgia, known as the frontman of middle GA band Royal Johnson from 2014-2019. His folk-rock aesthetic, country charm, and soulful blues presence have afforded him opportunities to perform at some of the southeast’s most respected venues and work under the tutelage of some of southern music’s pioneers, such as Hall of Fame Producer Paul Hornsby and R&B guitar legend Robert Lee Coleman. He also won the Atlanta Blues Challenge in consecutive years (2016-2017) as a member of Dos Blues Guys. He has a diverse history, which presently affords him multiple groups with diverse booking options.
We are so excited to welcome Ten Mile Bay to the main stage as our house band throughout the day on Saturday, March 26, 2022 and as our main musical guest that evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
Formed in 2019, Ten Mile Bay’s exhilarating play of country music, southern rock music, and charged live shows have quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from South Georgia’s music scene.
The group’s dynamic friendship along with their resonating live performances helped the band quickly rise to prominence. Their stage presence represents their diverse taste in music and their sound defies categorization while delivering a blend of an aggressive attitude, emotive expression, progressive intellect, and modern flair.
